15th September – Visit to Dorchester on market day £18
Dorchester is Dorset’s county town dating back to the iron age, and is also the town of Casterbridge which featured in several of Thomas Hardy’s novels.
It was also the departure point for the six men known as the Tolpuddle Martyrs who, in 1834 were deported to Australia and later pardoned. Today, a traditional market is held here every Wednesday with over 500 stalls selling a wide range of products.
Refreshment breaks are made on longer journeys. Please assist our driver and return promptly to your coach at the time requested.
